For the summer learning journey we had to think of a scientist who changed the world.

I think Albert Einstein changed the world because he looked into Isaac Newton's discovery of gravity and he realised that there is no gravity in space. Also he invented the theory of relativity. Sadly he is dead but we will never forget him.

For the summer learning journey we had to think of our favourite game.

My favourite game is called Roblox. There is actually no way to play it. You just play games on a game. Well its not a game its actually a gaming platform but I'll allow. My favourite game on Roblox is Robeats. Its a rythm game were you can play lots of songs like im blue if i was green i would die.  There are yellow circles that will come at a certain speed and there are four buttons next to you. As soon as the yellow circles are in the same position as one of the buttons you have to press a, s, d or f depending on what button the circle is at. You will be judged from miss, ok, great or perfect. At the end you will be judged and it will show how many misses, oks, greats and perfects you scored. And also it will show your accuracy. Some songs are hard and some are easy. When you play you dont have to press a, s, d and f. You can choose what keys you want to press to. There are also levels like eg level 12. I think I have put enough detail for now. Hope you enjoyed my description.

For the summer learning journey we had to watch this video about the Pasifika Aquabots competition. The students had to navigate their Aquabots around a swimming pool, collecting things and visiting different ‘islands.’ On our blogs, tell us whether you would like to join an Underwater Robotics team at your school. Why/why not?



When I watched the cilp I saw these water robot things and it was very fascinating. I would go but when it comes to interviewing I would be a cat and run all the way home. I would go for certain reasons like building the water robot things but my nervousness just let me down. So sadly I wouldnt go.

For the summer learning journey we had to  visit the Build Tiny New Zealand website and go to the bottom of the page where you will find Video Tours of tiny houses.

I think tiny houses are for me because there are lots of storage and if theres no more bedrooms we can just sleep on the couch. Also there are stairs and ladders.  There is aa secret bench in one of the benches in the kitchen so we have more storage. Also I like it because I can feel the void in my room become bigger and I suffer silenty as I gaze through the window of betrayal. Just kidding!

Some weird story

For the summer learning journey we had to write a story. I didn't know if it had to be fiction or nonfiction, so I just chose fiction.

One day I went to mcdonalds and ordered a mcchicken, large fries and a frozen coke. As I waited for my order I went to the playground for 5 minutes and came back because I didn’t want to miss out on my meal. They called my number and I sat down and ate my mcchicken first. Then the worst thing happened. Santa devoured my soul and my mcchicken and fries, and he also consumed my frozen coke in a second. But then Ayushmaan the banana boy and Eden the electric shark came to the rescue and snatched my meal off Santa and gave back my soul. We escaped using the magic school bus and ran back to the fort. Yursa Mardini story

For the summer learning journey we had to retell Yursa Mardini's story.

When Yursa Mardini was a little kid she was afraid to get in the water. The pool didn’t just scare her it excited her too. So she bravely went into the water and soaked her head for a second. Then she started swimming. She was now swimming competitively. And she was winning competitions. Now the pool was her favourite place to go. When Yursa Mardini was swimming she felt like she was in a whole new world. When she pushed herself harder all she heard was her heartbeat and the water. When Yursa Mardini was 13 her country was at war. People protested at the streets and spoke their minds. And the government shot them. For the first year they were safe. Rebel  formed around the city and battled the government for control around the city. She went swimming later on and kept on practicing then everything went back to normal because she went on a boat and the engine stopped working so her and her sister managed to save 20 people.

The original one showed 290 calories and the new one showed 240 calories so the new impossible burger had 50 less calories than the original

If I was principal for a week

Should we have beach rules?

In Reading we were learning to form a opnion. Our topic for forming a opnion is "Beach Rules"
This is MY opnion.

I think that we should have beach rules because we can’t leave people doing dumb stuff because we might be sued for accidents or similar things. Another reason people can do anything, because we don’t have rules. They can litter, which can result in the extinction of sea animals, seagulls and corals. I think you should be 18+ to be unsupervised and you need to be 18+ to supervise. Also you should have a full license if you want to drive on beaches. Also you can’t drive on beached only if its and emergency. I think people that are under 6 and 6 should not go to the deep end, but, they can go to the deep end if they are with an adult or getting supervised. I think weekly they should do a beach clean up. If someone litters we should fine them $100 NZ dollars.

Should fireworks be banned?

In reading  we had to do a report about if fireworks be banned or not. We gathered information from Google searches and other resources. Here is my opnion.

I think fireworks are fun to watch but they can be dangerous. As long as we are safe we don’t have to ban them. I think that we should ban them because it has injured 400 children under the age of five last year. If you are fusing fireworks be mindful of neighbours because they may be annoyed. If you are setting a firework next to a zoo the animals might get scared and go crazy, then they will escape. If adults are drunk and they set a firework, it will be a bad example for kids. There have been events of fireworks in the 1900’s. Also there are fires in Australia and if you add fireworks and fire, it won’t work out well.  I think it’s a great time to BAN fireworks. End of discussion.

Life on Mars

In Writing we have learning about pollution and planet Earth. We wrote a story about what life on Mars would be like.

One day I woke up and on the news I heard that we have to move to Mars because people have been polluting the Earth now, the earth is infected with diseases and we have to stay indoors! I woke up my parents and I said “ MUM DAD IN 1 WEEK WE HAVE TO MOVE TO MARS!”  My parents said “ Calm down it won’t be that bad” My parents had already watched the news so my Mum said “ People will stay on Earth and clean it up.” After 1 week my family went to the NASA space station and we went into the space shuttle and in 10 seconds it blasted off! For the first few hours in the space shuttle I was just doing backflips and frontflips and continued doing that until we landed on Mars. Astronauts handed us some helmets to breathe. We set up all the things we needed to live. I started to get muscle spasms. My Mum said go exercised more. So I exercised. I live on Mars as if I was living on Earth. It was a hard life on Mars but I got used to it. I had to eat lots of food. Then after 10 years of hard work the people on Earth announced we were allowed to go on Earth. It was a hard life on Mars but I got used to it. We were excited but on the way to the space shuttle some aliens got out their lazer guns and shot us. Then someone said “ Go back to Area 51” The aliens were so sad they went back to their house on Mars. Then we all rushed back into the space shuttle. When we arrived back at Earth I rushed out the space shuttle and ran all the way back home, but that's a different story.

I thought this was a fun activity because writing narratives are my favourite.

MLG squad vs Godzilla

In a city very far away there was a big scaly, big and bad Dragon. He was named Godzilla. But deep in the city there were 5 heros, Peppa pig, Flying pig, Troll face, Lego Emmet, and Sans. There were called the MLG squad.

One day there was a roar in the city of Vancouver there was a “ROAR!” Godzilla has come.After being defeated for years by the MLG squad he will not lose again. So grew long sharp claws and long legs and arms. And he made sure he was the most ferocious monster in history! At that moment he began terrorizing the city and breaking down buildings. He began making tsunamis by stomping in the circular ocean. When he was about to make a tsunami in a flash the MLG squad held his leg and Flying pig flew him to land. But Godzilla was not giving up now. He was filled with determination but lost it quickly when Peppa pig grew wings and a halo. He was terrified. But he wouldn’t let them win. He quickly grabbed the leader Sans. But Sans got a gaster blaster and quickly clicked to blast the laser. Godzilla dropped Sans and flying pig quickly healing Sans. Troll face got revenge by doing jokes on Godzilla which slowly weakened him. But luckily Peppa pig was smart so she transferred her knowledge to Troll face’s brain. Suddenly Troll face was weakening Godzilla with logic and knowledge. Finally Peppa pig did the final attack laser shot at Godzilla. Everyone was clapping for the MLG squad and the got the trophy for saving the day the most in Vancouver. The End
